Joint Event in Scotland: Ramadan - The Month of Mercy |

On Saturday
16th and Sunday 17th September 2006, AIM and Al-Asr
organised an event in Edinburgh Scotland in which the
honourable Sheikh Ayyub Rashid addressed the community on
the occasion of the coming of the month of Ramadan.

Council for Student Societies in the United Kingdom |
|
On
Saturday 9th September 2006, representatives from university
societies from across the United Kingdom convened in London
to initiate the process of establishing the very first
student based council for Shia Muslims.

On
Saturday 1st July 2006, whilst Brazil were playing France in
their World Cup showdown, Muslims congregated
to the
Al-Zahra Centre to attend a joint event with AIM
in memory of Fatima (as)
daughter of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). Guest speaker who
recited the Majlis was Ayatollah Sayyid Fadhil Milani.

Discussion with Jon Snow: Muslims and the Western Media |

Political
journalist, Jon Snow attended a discussion on Tuesday 22nd
June with a group of Muslims in regards to the media and the
Muslim representation within it. It came at a critical time
which has seen the shooting of an innocent Muslim by the
British police in London. |

March in London regarding Attacks on Holy Shrine in Samarra,

On
Saturay 25th February, AIM joined the Muslims of the UK and
gathered in London to protest against the evil crimes
committed by terrorists against the holy shrine of our 10th
and 11th Imams, Imam Hadi (as) and Imam Askari (as). |

Ashura Awareness Week 2006 |

For the second year running, Ashura Awareness Week has made
a great impact throughout universities, high streets and
other public places. This year the project has been expanded
to run at different times at different places. Take a look
at how Ashura Awareness Week is currently shaping up. |

| Second Dawah Training Day |
|
The second Dawah Training Day organised by AIM took place on Saturday 28th January 2006. The training day was primarily organised to facilitate Ashura Awareness Week, but was open to all who wanted to attend classes on ways to approach Dawah to Non-Muslims and Fellow Muslims alike. The event was well attended (40 - 50 people), and consisted of students and professionals from all over the UK. A minibus, arranged by a student from the University of Glamorgan, brought approximately 15 students from Wales to the training day. |

UniSeminar 2005 |
|
On Sunday 16th September 2005, the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission participated in UniSeminar 2005. The aim of the seminar was to provide prospective University students with a sound background into the many challenges and obstacles they may face at University, from secular to religious. Lectures and workshops were part of the schedule. |

Dawah
Training Day |
|
On
Sunday 4th September 2005, the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission
organised a 'Dawah Training Day'. This was an interactive
platform for learning the Islamic answers to modern
misconceptions; tackling a variety of approaches including
answers to Atheism, Christianity, Wahhabism and problems at
university. |

AIM and WF Charity Football Tournament |
|
On Sunday 17th July 2005, the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) in association with the Youth Network Desk of the World Federation organised a charity football tournament for Iraq Relief. Different teams from the depth of Britain took part for a day of competitive football to lift the Al-Hujjah Trophy.
The matches were fierce, the game serious and the mood competetive as ten teams battled it out for the first ever Al-Hujjah Championship. |

International Book Fair |
|
Tarikhe Tarnsile Qur'an of New York, USA and the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission held a da'wah stall at the International Book Fair 2005 Olympia, Earl's Court (13 th – 15 th March 2005). The impact made on the public was immense as 2000 Qur'ans and thousands of leaflets were given out for free.
Famous authors, publishers, distributors and people from all over the world attended the event, with over 500 organisations/people exhibiting their products. |

Ashura Awareness Week 2005 - Photo Library

The
AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) conducted a large campaign
across London and other UK Cities to bring awareness on the
Epic of Karbala and the Master of all Martyrs Imam Hussain
(AS),
Grandson of
the Prophet Muhammed (SAW).
Propagation stalls were made
at different universities
and a leaflet
was produced to mark the occasion.

Event: British Muslims - Rights & Responsibilities
|
|
AhlulBayt
Islamic Mission (AIM) held a forum on Sunday 27th February
2005 in London on the topic of British Muslims: Rights &
Responsibilities. The program discussed Demographics, Minority
Report, Islamophobia and Struggle to be Equal Citizens.
Speakers include Iqbal Asaria, Mahmoud Abdulla, Ahmed Versi
and Raza Kazim. |

Islamic Mission (AIM) held a joint Eid Al-Ghadeer & Eid Al-Mubahela
event with the Al-Zahra Youth Committee on Friday 4th February
2005 in Watford. Hosted by Ali Hilmi and with guests including
Sheikh Safdar Jaffar, Mulla Murtadha Bandali, Sayyid Zafar
Abbas, Hasnain Juma, Haidarali Abbas, Kassim Abbas and
Muhammed Baqir Al-Eisa. |

Bonanza: AhlulBayt Societies in London hold Eid

On
Wednesday the 17th November 2004, the Student Affairs Board of
the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) coordinated an Eid event
that was organised by a joint team of AhlulBayt Societies.
Guests took part in a variety of activities and were treated
to recitations by renowned recitors. The proceeds of the event
went to the Lady Fatimah Charitable Trust. |

Spiritual Lecture: Awakening the Slumbering Soul
|

AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) held
a lecture in Ramadhan on the spiritual significance of mankind
and how they are to attain proximity to the Creator. The
lecture was given by Sheikh Mohammed Ali Shomali, who is the
head of the Al-Zahra (Peace be upon her) Seminary, Islamic
Institute for Women, in the Holy City of Qum - Iran. The
lecture was attended by a group of sisters in London, who
later engaged in a question & answer session.

Crash Course: AIM Course on Imam Mahdi (AF)
|

AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) held
a crash course in London on the topic of our Awaited Saviour -
Imam Al0Mahdi (AF). The Course took place for 4 weeks and was
taught by Sheikh Ali Hussain Al-Hakim, author of the book "The
Awaited Saviour: Questions & Answers".

Seminar 2004: A Survival Guide for Muslim Students

AIM
in conjunction with various other Shia youth bodies organised
UniSeminar2004 which was held at Imperial College, London. The
aim of the seminar was to provide prospective University
students with a sound background into the many challenges and
obstacles they may face at University, from secular to
religious. The event was a success with over 300 people in
attendance, speakers included Sayyid Fadhil Milani, Sayyid
Mohamed Al-Musawi, Sheikh Arif Abdulhussain and Mehdi Hassan. |

Conference: AIM Conference Spring 2004
|

Youth from the breadth and depth of London gathered at
Westminster University in Northwick Park on Wednesday 7th
April 2004 for an enlightening presentation addressing how the
Muslim people could strive to progress for a better future in
the western world. Appropriately, its title was "Striving for
a better tomorrow".
This event marked
the debut of AIM - the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission - a newly
formed organisation working within the Muslim community living
in this country.
