America's Long Term Plan in Iraq - The Bases Are Loaded PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 27 September 2007
Will the U.S. ever leave Iraq? Official policy promises an eventual departure, while warning of the dire consequences of a "premature" withdrawal. But while Washington equivocates, facts on the ground tell another story. Independent journalist Dahr Jamail, and author Chalmers Johnson, are discovering that military bases in Iraq are being consolidated from over a hundred to a handful of "megabases" with lavish amenities. Much of what is taking place is obscured by denials and quibbles over the definition of "permanent." The Bases Are Loaded covers a wide range of topics. Gary Hart, James Goldsborough, Nadia Keilani, Raed Jarrar, Bruce Finley Kam Zarrabi and Mark Rudd all add their observations about the extent and purpose of the bases in Iraq.

This is a very imformative documentary and I will try to get as many people as I can to watch it. The world needs to become more aware of what is really going on in Iraq as well as other places and we must all work for bring about peace, justice and equity throughout the earth. "verily God enjoins you towards justice, goodness and kindness to the close of kind, and forbids indecencies, evils and injustice. He advises you so that you may reflect." Holy Qur'an 16:90

oops, couple of typos in the last comment..."we must all work for bring about peace..." and "kindness to the close of kin" not kind...my humblest apologies. I should've kept in mind What Imam Khumayni (may God increase his position) said. He said read everything ten times before publishing it...last time I just typed it and then uploaded it.

Deomcracy Andy?

They have bought nothing but bloodshed and poverty to the citizens of Iraq. The tyrannical regime was a puppet of US for many years but when the job of the regime was over the tables turned at the US removed them by the means of an invasion. Given the capabilities of the US army one would have expected tight security of the borders after the invasion yet that was not the case. US failed miserably in securing borders of Iraq and due to this failure many many suicide bombers entered the country via the Arab states especially Jordon.

Democracy is when the people of Iraq have a say in what is right for them rather than Bush and his puppy Rice calling all the shots. Iraqis would never wanted any interference from the US and its allies and the case remains the same till now. More to that what has changed since Saddam got removed? Has there been less oppression? Less bloodshed? Less killings of the innocent civilians? What happened to the billions that was for the people of Iraq? Where did they disappear too?

If this is Democracy by US standards then one has to wonder whether the Government of US is comptent in anyway to lead an invasion and to liberate the people of Iraq.

Andy the U.S. doesn\'t care about democracy in Iraq or any where else in the Middle East or the world. All the Zionist-controlled Americans care about are 2 things: Oil and \"Israel\".

If the U.S. really cared about democracy in the world it could start by ending it\'s total support for totalitarian regimes. Specifically the House of Saud in Saudi Arabia, the military dictator Gen. Musharraf in Pakistan, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, King Abdullah of Jordan, Mahmoud Abbas Palestinian Fatah traitor, King of Morocco, and on and on.

The U.S. was not and is not interested in the Iraqi people having a true democratic vote. As the writer \"Karbala\" mentioned the U.S. supported Saddam completely throughout the 1980s. The U.S provided Saddam\'s Iraqi army with normal weapons, military intelligence, and even chemical and biological weapons. Saddam in turn used these horrendous weapons against the army and civilians of Iran (who were responding justifiably to Saddam\'s invasion of Iran). Also Saddam used the U.S. supplied chemical and biological weapons to slaughter and torture the Kurdish of Northern Iraq who fought against Saddam\'s tyrannical, U.S. backed rule. The only reason the U.S. turned on Saddam was that in 1991 Saddam after invading Kuwait had set his eyes on the U.S. major puppet ally in the region the Nasibi regime in Saudi Arabia.

Saddam wanted to control Saudi Arabia\'s oil resources. So the Nasibi and tyrannical un-democratic Royal family of Saudi Arabia asked their protectors America for help. The Saudis then proceded to allow kuffar U.S. military forces onto the Holy lands of Arabia, which contain blessed Mekkah and Madinah.

Further after invading Iraq in 2003 the U.S. didn\'t just let the Iraqi people vote. The U.S. wouldn\'t allow Iraqi democracy knowing the Iraqi Shi\'a Muslim majority of Iraq would work with their brothers the freedom fighting Iranian Shi\'a Muslims. The U.S. couldn\'t have this because all the U.S. wants in empire, oil, and to secure it\'s terrorist ally the apartheid Zionist state of \"Israel\". So the U.S. proceded to set up the \"Coalition Provicinal Authority\" and placed the U.S. puppet Iyad Allawi in control of Iraq.

It should come as no suprise that many American gov.\'t people are currently pressing for the removal of their current puppet Nouri al-Maliki and the \"restatement\" of the neo-dictator Iyad Allawi. These neo-con, Zionists sense that Mr. Maliki is just a little friendly with great Iranian nation.

If democracy truly existed in Iraq, Iraq would be ruled by Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr (May Allah Protect Him and Grant Him Long Life, Insha Allah). Muqtada al-Sadr is respected by both the Iraqi Shi\'a Muslims and the Sunni Muslims in al-Anbar, Fallujah, Ramadi, etc. that resist the U.S. attempts to colonize Iraq. Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr is both a leader for the Shi\'a Muslims or Iraqi and great Iraqi nationalist.

"If democracy truly existed in Iraq, Iraq would be ruled by Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr"

salam alaikom,

If you are an Iraqi who has lived in Iraq or if you are an Iraqi yourself you would know the above statement is not true and does not reflect the view of majority of Iraqi's. Sayed Moqtada group has been infiltrated by ba3thists, CIA and wahabi men which he even does not disagree on and hence the reason why he has stopped his activities and regrouping. so you cannot say he is/was the leader as clearly he wasnt.

Also brother before commenting about your anti-israel,anti-bush don't put two and two together and try to turn things on Iraq as we all know Iraqis do not want to be another Iran and neither do the Iraqis want to get involved with Iran, all we ask for is for Iran, Saudi, Jordan,Syria, Turkey and USA to leave Iraqis alone.

Iraq is moving forward at the moment and with the Grace of Allah and the removal of the neighbouring countries meddling Iraqis will have an IRAQI state.
