Between Law and Morality PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 23 April 2008
As part of a series of lectures on Self-Knowledge, Sheikh Muhammad Shomali introduces the themes of Law and Morality; their respective domains, their goals and how they shape the life of a Muslim. Dr. Shomali introduces Law as the primary foundation and a necessary requirement from which loftier peaks of perfection can be reached. Morality, unlike Law which focuses on the minimum level of perfection, caters for the different ambitions and potentialities for every human being. Sheikh Shomali is a graduate of the Islamic Seminaries in Qum and also holds a doctorate in Philosophy.
