I saw this movie yesterday at the Washington Cathedral, I was really moved. The producer has done a wonderful job in depicting Mother Mary and all the other character. I am wondering if the producer has done other movie related to Jesus, and other prophets.
Thank you.

I am a practicing Christian that watched the film and would like to give you some comments on the film "Saint Mary"

It was interesting to see that numerous things are in agreement with the Biblical account in the Injeel (Luke chapter 1) such as:

•A comet that announced the birth of Christ leading wise men from the East to worship him
•Herod, the Roman ruler wanting to kill him
•Corrupted Jewish priests
•Zechariah, an old good priest to whom the angel Gabriel announced the birth of a child. Because of unbelief he could not talk anymore.
•His wife Elisabeth gave birth to John the Baptist, after having been barren all her life
•Background music singing ‘Hallelujah…’ meaning ‘Praise Yahweh’. This personal name of God is very important. While Arab Christians view the name 'Allah' as a common name for God, Arab and Orthodox Muslims consider it as the very personal name of God allegedly revealed to Muhammad in the Quran. This view contradicts the Bible. According to Exodus 3:15, the eternal (personal) name of God is 'Yahweh'. It is never translated as 'Allah' in any Arabic Bible. The personal name of God is either kept as 'Yahweh' or translated into to 'Rrab' ('Adonai' in Hebrew, 'Kyrios' in Greek and 'LORD' in English). 'Yahweh' is never mentioned in the Quran nor does it appear in the Hadith. Therefore, Christians and Jews refused to accept him as a prophet based on Deuteronomy 18:20, where 'Yahweh' said, '...a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.' 'Allah' is not known as a common or personal name for the divine in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, the languages the Bible was first revealed in.

However, a number of things did not agree with the Biblical account, such as:

•Hannah is not the mother of Mary.
•Mary was not dedicated to a life of service in the temple. To be sure, there is a Lady called Hanna in the Bible to whom God answered her prayer for a child. But it is found in the Torah, written about 900 years before the birth of Christ. The name of the Boy is called Samuel and he was dedicated for a life of service in the temple. (2 Sam, chapter 1)
•Mary did not heal the sick.
•Zechariah did not look after Mary in the temple.
•He was unable to speak for more than nine months not just three days as reported in the film.
•Mary gave birth to Jesus in a manger not near a palm tree.
•She was not alone but with her fiancé Joseph.
•The baby Jesus did not speak in her defence.

I was amazed that Jesus was announced to be ‘a prophet for the whole world, the poor and oppressed’. While this is part of the true picture confirmed in the Bible, the Quran contradicts it in Surah 61, Al-Saff, verse 6, saying that he came only for the Jews. How comes the film produced by Muslims goes against what the Quran says?

I wonder why the film does not follow the full Biblical account? It can not be because the Bible has changed because who would have done it, when, where and most importantly, why? What would be the motive for adding the unique claims of Jesus to his words? In fact they made his teachings difficult to accept. These alleged additions (e.g. that he died for our sins, he is God in the flesh, the only way to heaven, etc) subtract from the believability of his message. The belief that the Bible has been changed does not make sense. Another problem with believing that someone added to the story is that all four accounts of Jesus’ life were based on eyewitnesses and circulated in the region where these unusual occurrences took place at a time when eyewitnesses were still around to dispute their claims. However, none of them did. Could it be possible the authors of the four Gospel accounts got together and made all of the additions up? They do not give identical accounts, although there is general agreement about what happened with an emphasis on different details. That is exactly what one would expect of any eyewitness accounts. Any answers to my questions or comments are welcome.

Asalam Aley Kum Wa'Rehmatuallah Wa'Barakathu, I am a practicing Muslim Woman, and I was really impressed with the film, 'Saint Mary'. The movie gives the true story of what is revealed in the Qu'ran. What made me want to put a comment here, was because of the Practicing Christian Gentleman, Adrian who has also written a comment. Being a Muslim, I just wanted to correct Adrian, for when he has said,

"I was amazed that Jesus was announced to be ‘a prophet for the whole world, the poor and oppressed’. While this is part of the true picture confirmed in the Bible, the Quran contradicts it in Surah 61, Al-Saff, verse 6, saying that he came only for the Jews. How comes the film produced by Muslims goes against what the Quran says?"

Adrian, The Qur'an does not state specifically that Isa (Jesus) was here ONLY for the Jews. It is how you interpreted it, The interpretation I have read in Surah 61, Al-Saff, verse 6 it explains That Isa said,

"O Children of isreal! I am the Messenger of Allah SWT, unto you, confirming the Taurat (Torah) which came before me, and giving glad tidings if a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed ie Muhammed SAW. But when Muhammed SAW came to them with clear proofs, they said, "this is plain magic"."

Adrian, when it was said, "o' children of Isreal" is where you was mis-interpreted, at that time when Isa was living, he had spoken to the jews, becuase it was them who had taken the wrong path, if at that time some other religion was taking over, he would have done the same. I'm not so good at explaining, but i hope you got my point. it's how you interpret things. The movie 'Saint Mary' is the true revelation of what happened, and that is what is stated in the Qu'ran. As for what you believe is of your own choice. Allah gives everyone a free will to think what they want.

overall, i was also impressed at Adrian for knowing about the verse, you should read more than one interpretation of the Qu'ran.

Hope i haven't offended anyone in any kind of way.

Jazak - Allah...

Wa'aliakum Asalam Wa'Rehmatuallah Wa'Barakathu

Islam teaches terrorism....hatred to Christians! Stop deceiving people by doing this kind of movie, actually you hate Our LOrd and Savior Jesus Christ by twisting the facts of what really transpired on His Blessed life here on earth and His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary! You want to destroy Christianity....then go to hell, worship your Moon God and the black stone!

Salam, great movie and never been done before in the Muslim worlds. There is no reason that Prophet Muhammad SAW wants to mentioned about Jesus in the Quran. our Christian brothers should find out why the Quran mentioned Jesus for the past 1400 years ago. There should be a reason, time has changed, now the science has discover so many truth about Quran and Islam. Let seek the truth, as the truth will prevail.

Thank you for your response. Does Islam agree then, that Jesus was sent to the the whole world as I and the film under consideration stated (see my comment number 13 above)and not just to a praticular group of peope?

Hello there,

I am looking foward to make Spanish subtitles for this movie based on the English subtitles and the little Farsi I know.

Do you know where can I download the best possible quality version of this movie in Farsi alone, so then I myself add the Spanish subtitles?

Please let me know through YouTube, I am user germanicus24.

answer to Adrian:
hello Adrian, i have read the Bibel several times and as an as doktor in archeologie i can make sure that The belief that the Bible has been changed does make sense.
bible is changed even thruogh the translations. the Church never was interested in translation the bibel only to sell they own version of religion and at last they translatid it as the way they liked it. the problem is also based on transition between semitic language to indoeuropian language with fully different casus and tempus. as a matter of fact the semitic language doesnt now the casus dativ, but indoeuropean greek does. there are also exegese problems wich are embeded in the translation. Like jesus says in the Bible "holy are the poor people" this part is translated to "holy are the people hoes minds are poor" what deoesent makes a sinn. but it makes a sinn for the katholik church who where earning money.
as a matter of fact jesus said in the bible, allways, "i am the son of human being" but lukas and paulus said like : "the son of god said": "i am the humans child"
well i beleve what jesus said and this is the fact why we shoud be sure that the bible is changed by human beings

Peace everyone! I have seen the movie and it is wonderful to see that a religion at least shows respect for Mary and Jesus and all the other prophets of time! I have seen and heard of other people of other religions except speak so lewd of the prophets, Mary and Jesus. In the Quran Jesus was mentioned many more times than the messenger of Allah-God-Mohammad-PBUH. Also a whole chapter is dedicated to Mary. read people, think and reflect and understand! Peace.
