The AhlulBayt Islamic Mission congratulates the Islamic Ummah on the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (a) and the inheritor of his knowledge and character, Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (a). On this blessed occasion, AIM presents the 'Mercy to the Worlds'; celebrating these two great personalities with an array of articles and multimedia items. We hope you find its contents to be educational, inspiring and a catalyst to push us to emulate their perfect lives; thereby abiding by the Divine directive: Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much. [Holy Quran, 33:21]. Comments (4) |

With eyes as bright as the shining sun, a reality on the lips more brilliant than the light of the sun, a heart more fresh than the flowers of the gardens of Yathrib and Taif, habits and morals more decent than the moon- lit nights of the Hijaz, a mind more brisk than the strong winds, a bewitching tongue, a heart with heavenly light, firm determination like a trenchant sword and heavenly words on the tongue - such was Muhammad son of Abdullah, the prophet of Arabia, the prophet who destroyed the idols which had separated brothers from brothers. The only thing which the cowardly Quraysh desired was money should be transferred from the hands of the nomadic Arabs to their own pockets. Suddenly they heard a voice which shook their nerves. Their hopes were shattered. Comments (3) |

In an unprecedented event, a delegate from Imam Ali Bin Mussa Al-Ridha (pbuh) shrine panel in the Holy city of Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran hands over to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah Imam Rida's Flag raised on the Holy shrine. The idea first came when an Iranian press delegation visited the Kheyam and Bint Jbeil villages in the aftermath of July victory in 2006. This flag has an exceptional story. It's striking that the flag wasn't made for such purpose; it was raised before the request. The delegation presented the flag to Hezbollah deputy secretary general Sheikh Naim Kassem who in turn offered Hezbollah's flag to Imam Ridha (pbuh) holy shrine. Comments (7) |

If the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s most intractable, much the same can be said of the parallel debate about whether its resolution can best be achieved by a single state embracing the two peoples living there or by a division of the land into two separate states, one for Jews and the other for Palestinans. Prime minister Ehud Olmert, for example, has expressed in several speeches the fear that, should the Palestinian population under Israeli rule -- both in the occupied territories and inside Israel proper -- reach the point where it outnumbers the Jewish population, as demographers expect in the next few years, Israel will be compared to apartheid South Africa. In his words, Israel is facing an imminent and powerful “struggle for one-man-one-vote” along the lines of the anti-apartheid movement. Comments (4) |

The program of Islam for the prevention of violence and avoidance of war, injustice, and oppression is one that operates on many different dimensions: spiritual, moral, social, cultural, economic, and political. As divine guidance for humanity, it is announced in the Qur'an that Islam has been established to bring peace and fraternal relations in place of enmity: "Hold fast all together to Allah's cord, and do not be divided into sects. And remember Allah's blessing upon you when you were enemies, then He brought your hearts together, so you became brothers with His blessing. And you were on the brink of a pit of fire, from whence He saved you." (Qur'an 3:103) Comments (3) |

When the news of the Prophet's illness spread among Muslims, they hurried to visit him while being so distressed and sad. What made them more distressed was that the Prophet (a.s.) himself confirmed to them his soon death saying; "O people, I am about to be made die soon and taken away. I speak to you to be excused before you; I leave among you the Book of Allah and my progeny, my family." Then, he took the hand of Imam Ali, who was sitting beside him, and said, "This is Ali; he is with the Qur'an and the Qur'an is with Ali. They shall not separate until they shall come to me at the pond (in the Paradise)." In this recommendation, the Prophet (s) invited Muslims to keep to the Holy Qur'an and to his progeny in order not to go astray or fall into seditions. Comments (7) |

The month of Muharram arouses passion in the hearts of Muslims all over the world for during its days and nights the legacy of Imam Hussain (a) is relived. One and all equally gather to revive the mention of the Prophet's Household (a), their suffering and everyone seeks to learn some treasures from the grand school of Imam Hussain (a) and Lady Zainab (a). During this Muharram, Sheikh Hamza Sodagar visited various cities and towns across the UK to shed light on the message of Karbala, its implications and the timeless lessons that can be drawn from the meta-historical battle of truth against falsehood fought on the plains of Karbala. In his several talks, Sheikh Hamza also discussed the awaiting of Imam Al-Mahdi (atf) with respect to the lessons of Karbala, mourning for Imam Hussain (a), seeking of Intercession and many other themes.
