In conjunction with a large number of Shia organisations in the UK, the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) held a conference to mark the birth anniversary of the Awaited Saviour, Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) at the Islamic Centre of England, London.

Organisations from a large cross-section of the Shia community in the UK held an important conference in London to celebrate the birth of the Master of the Age, Imam Al-Mahdi on Saturday, 22nd June at the Islamic Center of England, London.

The 15th day of the Islamic month of Shaban holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims, and to Shias in particular. On this day, Shia Muslims from all across the globe mark the birth of the Awaited Saviour; the Divine leader foretold by all Divine scriptures who shall appear before the end of Time to raise humanity to the pinnacle of excellence, establish justice and the rule of God on earth.

During this year’s celebrations, a number of leading Shia organisations in the UK came together to organise a joint conference under the fitting conference title: ‘A Unified Ummah Preparing for The Saviour’.

The conference was attended by hundreds of believers who heralded from different parts of the country. To address the conference,  notable speakers were invited to address subjects ranging from the importance of spiritual inner reform, political and social reform, as well as the obligations we ought to shoulder as loyal followers of an Imam who is in ghayba. Amongst the speakers who addressed the audience included: Haj Ehsan Rangiha , Shaykh Ahmed Haneef, Sayyid Taqi Razvi, Shaykh Mohammed Al-Hilli, and Haj Mustafa Jaffer.
