Condolences on the Passing of Grand Ayatollah al-Fayyadh

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.”

Ahlulbayt Islamic Mission (AIM) expresses its profound condolences on the demise of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyadh (may Allah sanctify his noble soul), one of the foremost Marajiʿ of the Hawza of Najaf and a distinguished scholar whose life was devoted to the service of Islam and the teachings of Ahlulbayt (as).

His passing is a significant loss for the Hawza, the scholarly community, and the wider Muslim Ummah. Through decades of teaching, scholarship, and spiritual guidance, he leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit future generations. Having dedicated much of his life to teaching and nurturing generations of students in the Hawza of Najaf, he was laid to rest in the holy city of Najaf al-Ashraf, nearby the shrine of Imam Ali (as), a city that remained the centre of his scholarly service and religious leadership.

We extend our condolences to Imam al-Mahdi (ajtf), the Wali al-Faqih and the grand Marajiʿ, the Hawza of Najaf and Qom, his family, students, followers, and all those who mourn this great loss. We pray that Allah (swt) grants him the highest stations of His mercy and pleasure.
