Due to the unfolding human tragedy in Palestine, the Ahlulbayt Islamic Mission (AIM) has decided to launch this fundraising appeal to facilitate for urgent assistance to reach those in need in Gaza.
With over 190 people killed, including 50 children and over 830 people injured, the situation in Palestine is dire (Last update: 17 May 2021).
Hundreds of sites in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed by Israeli airstrikes, including residential buildings, water/electricity infrastructure, and medical facilities. Hospitals were struggling to manage COVID-19 and are now trying to cope with an influx of injured people. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 500 families have been displaced due to the bombing of their homes, with an estimated 1,750 people affected.
Israel’s military assault on blockaded Gaza has caused widespread civilian casualties and extensive damage to homes and essential infrastructure, including healthcare facilities.
Funds raised in this appeal will be given to the Islamic Human Rights Commission Trust who have secured a route to get assistance to partners in Gaza, ensuring that Palestinians get the urgent aid they need during this critical time.
Please donate generously.
May God reward you.
