AIM Ramadan Appeal raises over £20k for Iraqi orphans

“They ask thee what they should spend (In charity). Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, – Allah knoweth it well.”
– The Holy Qur’an 2:215

During the Holy month of Ramadan, AhlulBayt Islamic Mission initiated the AIM Ramadan Appeal whereby we dedicated ourselves to the emergency relief campaign from Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation charity for displaced Iraqi orphans and families.

Due to the Grace of Allah (swt) a total amount of £20,819.96 was raised.

The campaign witnessed donations and heartfelt messages from across the globe, all united for a common cause – helping those in need during Shahr Ramadan. Thanking all those that donated a spokesman for the Al-Ayn Foundation has said “through your generosity we will be able to ensure that the displaced orphans and their families will be provided with food, water and basic needs…. May Allah (swt) reward your deeds abundantly.”

As the appeal reaches its end, and the blessed month of Ramadan passes us by we hope all our followers had a blessed Eid, and would like to remind you of the following verse of the Holy Qur’an whereby God states;

“The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things. ” (2:261)

We pray and beseech the Almighty that these donations are filled with barakah and bring a positive and lasting change to the lives of those in need in Iraq. And pray that all the donors are rewarded for their sincere intentions and efforts towards the Ummah during this Holy month insha’Allah.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the donors for their contributions during this glorious month.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
