Statement: AIM rejects defamatory allegations

In His Name, the Most High

It has been brought to our attention that an article is circulating on the internet alleging that AIM is looking to recruit Shia Muslims to fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

AIM categorically rejects any such absurd allegations and considers these pronounciations to be libellous and defamatory.

We as Shia Muslims are victims of relentless targeting, and find it morally reprehensible that such irresponsible allegations are made at a time when innocent people of different faiths, including Shia Muslims, are threatened with massacre on a daily basis.

We pray that God guides us all to that which is best and that people of all walks of life unite for that which is right and oppose that which is wrong.

Wasalaamu Alaikum Warahmat Allah,
