AIM affirms and reminds the community that defending the Islamic leadership, represented through Wilayat al-Faqih, is a religious obligation (wājib) upon every Muslim. This is not a political opinion or personal inclination, but a binding responsibility rooted in the jurisprudence of the Shi‘i school of Islam.
Wilayat al-Faqih represents the shar‘i continuation of Islamic authority during the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi (atf). When this authority is attacked, undermined, or deliberately misrepresented, its defence becomes obligatory upon every Muslim, regardless of geography, circumstance, or level of public engagement.
This obligation is inseparable from protecting the system overseen by the Wali al-Faqih, namely the Islamic Republic of Iran. Its sovereignty and legitimacy stand today as a principal manifestation of God-centric governance and religious duty in a world increasingly shaped by arrogance, immorality, and atheism.
Silence in the face of systematic demonisation and delegitimisation is not neutrality, it is a failure to uphold a clear religious duty, and it is wholly unacceptable when such narratives enable acts of violence, coercion, and terrorism instigated by the interference of the United States and the Zionist regime reaching even the sanctity, safety, and very life entrusted to the leading Islamic authority, the Imam of the Ummah, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may Allah protect and bless him).
AIM therefore reminds community leaders, clerics, and the wider Muslim community of their duty of Tabyeen, among other responsibilities, which directly contribute to the defence, protection, and support of the Islamic Republic and its leader, a duty that stands among the most binding and obligatory of religious obligations.
