The Wilayah Camp 2013 finishes with a huge success, new friendships, a desire to come back again and a pledge to better ourselves and the Ummah around us.
AIM in collaboration with Noor Youth Unity, Al-Zahra Youth and Islamic Centre of England; held two camps for brothers and sisters from Friday 16th August until Wednesday 21st August 2013.
Young people from ages 12-17 attended and took part in various activities including archery, abseiling, climbing, rife shooting and tunnelling.
In the evenings participants had walks in the woods and discussions around the fireplace, in addition to lectures being delivered by Shaykh Usama Abdulghani and Shaykh Jabir Chandoo.
In the closing speech, senior volunteer Ali Al-Ibrahimi gave an emotional speech telling the young participants: “I left my children for this camp, and now I see my children in front of me… I see our future in front of me… I see the future of Islam in front of me.”
AIM would like to take this opportunity to thank all those wonderful people who made the Wilayah Camp such a success and looks forward to forthcoming camps in the future.
